Walt Whitman (Уолт Уитмен)

Leaves of Grass. 35. Good-Bye My Fancy. 13. Bravo, Paris Exposition!

Add to your show, before you close it, France,
With all the rest, visible, concrete, temples, towers, goods, machines
                           and ores,
Our sentiment wafted from many million heart-throbs, ethereal but solid,
(We grand-sons and great-grandsons do not forget your grandsires,)
From fifty Nations and nebulous Nations, compacted, sent oversea to-day,
America’s applause, love, memories and good-will.

Walt Whitman's other poems:
  1. Leaves of Grass. 5. Calamus. 38. That Shadow My Likeness
  2. Leaves of Grass. 20. By the Roadside. 28. Offerings
  3. Leaves of Grass. 21. Drum-Taps. 35. How Solemn As One by One [Washington City, 1865]
  4. Leaves of Grass. 35. Good-Bye My Fancy. 17. A Christmas Greeting
