Poem by Sara Teasdale

The Coin

Into my heart's treasury
 I slipped a coin
That time cannot take
 Nor a thief purloin,—
Oh better than the minting
 Of a gold-crowned king
Is the safe-kept memory
 Of a lovely thing.
