Old Roger is dead and laid in his grave,

They planted an apple tree over his head,

The apples grew ripe and ready to fall,

There came an old woman a-picking them all,

Old Roger jumps up and gives her a knock,

Which makes the old woman go hipperty-hop,
H’m ha! Hippertry-hop.
