Poem by Robert Burns

Impromptu («How daur ye ca’ me howlet-face...»)

How daur ye ca’ me howlet-face,
  	Ye ugly, glowering spectre?
My face was but the keekin’ glass,
An’ there ye saw your picture.

1791
