Samuel Taylor Coleridge (Сэмюэл Тэйлор Кольридж)

Charity in Thought

To praise men as good, and to take them for such,
Is a grace which no soul can mete out to a tittle;—
Of which he who has not a little too much,
Will by Charity's gauge surely have much too little.

Samuel Taylor Coleridge's other poems:
  1. Devonshire Roads
  2. Inscription for a Fountain on a Heath
  3. Lines On A Friend, Who Died Of A Frenzy Fever, Induced By Calumnious Reports
  4. The Nose
  5. On A Ruined House In A Romantic Country
