Michael Drayton (Майкл Дрейтон)

Roc

All feathered things yet ever known to men,
From the huge Rucke, unto the little Wren;
From Forrest, Fields, from Rivers and from Pons,
All that have webs, or cloven-footed ones;
To the Grand Arke, together friendly came,
Whose several species were too long to name.

Michael Drayton's other poems:
  1. Sonnet 37. Dear, why should You Command Me to My Rest
  2. Sonnet 18. To this our World
  3. Sonnet 57. You Best Discern'd of my Mind's Inward Eyes
  4. Sonnet 46. Plain-path'd Experience
  5. An Ode Written in the Peak
