Hilaire Belloc (Хилар Беллок)

On Torture: A Public Singer

Torture will give a dozen pence or more
To keep a drab from bawling at his door.
The public taste is quite a different thing-
Torture is positively paid to sing.

1. Is there any reward?
2. A Trinity
3. On the Little God
4. The Dromedary
5. Ha’nacker Mill
