Poem by Augustus Montague Toplady

* * *

Holy Ghost! dispel our sadness;
Pierce the clouds of nature's night.
Come, Thou source of joy and gladness,
Breathe Thy life, and spread Thy light.

Author of our new creation,
Bid us all Thine influence prove;
Make our souls Thy habitation;
Shed abroad the Saviour's love.

1. Grace, 'Tis a Charming Sound
2. Amplest Grace in Thee I Find
3. Lord, Let Me Not Thy Courts Depart
4. If, on a Quiet Sea, Toward Heaven We Calmly Sail
5. Bowed with a Sense of Sin
