Poem by Robert Herrick

On Himself (Live by thy Muse thou shalt, when others die)

Live by thy Muse thou shalt, when others die,
Leaving no fame to long posterity;
When monarchies trans-shifted are, and gone,
Here shall endure thy vast dominion.
