Poem by Hilaire Belloc

On the Little God

Of all the gods that gave me all their glories
To-day there deigns to walk with me but one.
I lead him by the hand and tell him stories.
It is the Queen of Cyprus’ little son.

1. Is there any reward?
2. The Dromedary
3. Kings live in Palaces, and Pigs in sties
4. Time Cures All
5. The World Is Full of Double Beds
