Poem by Hilaire Belloc

On a General Election

The accursed power which stands on Privilege
(And goes with Women, Champagne and Bridge)
Broke – and Democracy resumed her reign:
(Which goes with Bridge and Women and Champagne).

1. Heretics All
2. Kings live in Palaces, and Pigs in sties
3. Franklin Hyde
4. The Dromedary
5. Time Cures All
