Edward Young (Эдуард Юнг)
Sleep
Tired Nature's sweet restorer, balmy sleep, —
He, like the world, his ready visit pays
Where fortune smiles: the wretched he forsakes,
And lights on lids unsullied by a tear.
Edward Young's other poems:- Penitence
- To the Right Hon. Mr. Dodington
- The Wind from the West
- Ocean: An Ode. Concluding with a Wish
- Socrates
