Epigrams. The Second Booke. ¹ 24. No man should glory too much in the flourishing verdure of his Youth

LEt none be proud of life: nor thinke, that longer
He then another will, because he's younger,
Enjoy his pleasures; for though old age stand
A great way off, death alwaies is at hand;
Who (without taking heed to time, or yeares)
No Living creature spares, when she appeares.
